Ex- Physician Charged with Sexual Assault Allegations Against Thirty-Eight Patients

Legal authorities have announced that a ex- doctor has been charged with performing sexual assaults involving thirty-eight individuals who were patients.

The Grave Allegations

Nathaniel Spencer from Birmingham is accused of dozens of sexual offences – some of which involve some against children younger than 13 – spanning the period from 2017 to 2021.

A deputy chief CPS official commented, “Our prosecutors have worked at length to assist a thorough and intricate investigation, carefully reviewing the evidence to establish that there is a strong case to bring the case to trial and that it is in the public interest.”

The Police Inquiry

These allegations follow what police called a “detailed inquiry” into reported assaults at two hospitals: a hospital in Stoke-on-Trent and a facility in Dudley.

The defendant will appear at the local magistrates' court on January 20th.

Breakdown of Offences

Prosecutors outline the forty-five sexual offences include:

  • 15 counts of sexual assault.
  • Seventeen counts of penetrative assault.
  • 9 counts of assault on a minor under thirteen.
  • Three counts of assault of a child under 13 by penetration.
  • One count of attempted penetrative assault.

Police are urging individuals with information to get in touch with the relevant police force.
