Mohamed Salah Issues Regret to Squad, Discloses Curtis Jones
The Liverpool midfielder has disclosed that Mohamed Salah apologised to the entire Liverpool squad in the wake of the fallout from his recent interview.
The Incident
He was omitted from a vital match subsequent to criticising the club and claiming his relationship with manager had deteriorated.
“He speaks for himself and he can say his own stuff,” the midfielder said. “He apologised to us and was like: ‘If I’ve affected anybody, please accept my apology.’”
The head coach has previously declined to disclose on whether he got an explanation from the veteran striker.

He emphasized that the team's response was unchanged. “Nothing about him changed, he was smiling and we all treated him normally,” Jones added.
The midfielder also noted that a player's desire to start is preferable. “I understand there are specific approaches you can go about things,” he said. “However, if a player is content to just sit out, then I think that’s more of an issue.”
On-Field Response
Their results have remained strong in the games following the initial controversy. The player is convinced the outburst were not intended to destabilise the squad.
“If passion has boiled over, it’s always been from a good place,” Jones concluded. “That chapter is closed and we’re building chemistry, getting results and securing victories.”
