Netflix Selects Perfect Performer for Bon Clay in the Hit Series Third Season

Baroque Works is geared up to play a huge role in the next installment of Netflix’s show of One Piece, though the true confrontation isn’t set to occur until the third season, and a adored, popular member has recently been selected.

The platform declared Tuesday that the talented performer will appear in the One Piece upcoming season’s lineup and will play Mr. 2. The role can use their power to transform into an identical duplicate of anyone they’ve laid a hand on with their main hand. The actor, who is gender non-conforming and goes by they/them, will play a rendition of that role reimagined as non-binary, rather than as a drag artist, in the real-life adaptation, as in the initial comic and anime.

The new cast member joins multiple fresh additions set to bring the organization to life, including head Sir Crocodile, played by the well-known actor, an emerging star as another operative, and an accomplished actor, who also joins the cast as the monarch of the fictional land.

Even though this character is a important part of Baroque Works, the character will be introduced in One Piece season 3. Considering the second season likely to portray the Little Garden arc, this signals a major departure in the timing of their first appearance, one that could signal more adjustments to the narrative framework.

Escola’s blend of excellent comedic sense and deep sensitivity makes them a perfect fit for the part. In addition to their latest vocal work in the youth-focused cartoon movie Boys Go to Jupiter, they received high praise and several accolades for writing and starring in the successful stage production Oh Mary!, showcasing the versatility they’ll contribute to one of One Piece’s highly regarded characters.

The streaming service’s real-life One Piece program is scheduled to come back for its next installment on the tenth of March, 2026.
