Nigel Farage Accuses Educators of ‘Indoctrinating Children’ on Racial Topics
Nigel Farage has asserted that teachers would go on strike shortly after a success at the polls for his party, charging that they are “harming young minds” by telling children that black pupils are victims and white children oppressors.
During an event for a private US Christian college, Farage outlined his viewpoint on British schools, stating that the “Marxist left” had “now in control of our education system”.
“I expect a teachers’ strike soon after winning the next general election,” he remarked during a Q&A session.
“They are poisoning our kids. They are telling them to be ashamed of their country. They are telling an eight-year-old black child that he is oppressed and a white child of the same age that he is an oppressor. They create division, instead of fostering unity. They are feeding this harmful mindset.”
Reacting to these assertions, Daniel Kebede rejected the idea that the schools were under Marxist influence as “absurd”. He pointed out that any strikes must relate to educators’ working conditions, and questioned whether the party would target these right after taking office.
“Farage has built his political career on coded rhetoric and now, like Trump, he is targeting educators and their unions for a fight,” Kebede stated.
“This is highly reckless. Neither I nor our union – push critical race theory as he claims … If he were to lead the government he would sell out our public services, particularly schooling … and the outcome would be catastrophic for education and children.”
Reform, which is leading the polls by a significant margin, has provided limited specifics on its educational plans and seems not to have appointed an education spokesperson.
Nonetheless, his comments indicated the group would reform the educational framework. Farage declared: “We face an enormous task with education – truly monumental. And, we can’t do it in six months or a year; it will take us years, years to turn this around.”
Farage expressed that gen Z was more open to analytical thought, but older youth were “completely lost”.
Paying tribute to a conservative activist, he commented: “All I want education to do to foster independent thought – to instruct people that there are two points of view and you make up your own mind rather than what’s happening now where one is virtuous and one is evil. This is a huge undertaking in both Britain and America.”
The party has conflicted with a major educators’ organization, after the union leader labeled them “extremist and prejudiced” and dismissed Farage as “a poundshop Donald Trump”.
The politician has charged Kebede of being “a self-declared Marxist” … someone who is absolutely determined that our children should be poisoned at school, their minds should be poisoned regarding national issues” and maintained that the union is trying to indoctrinate teenagers against Reform.
Roughly a million individuals are employed in education in the UK, with educators comprising half and the others teaching assistants and support staff. The major education union has about 450,000 members.
Countrywide walkouts over educators’ salaries and work environment in recent years caused widespread disruption in educational institutions and extensive missed instruction for students.
During the American gathering, the Reform leader also vowed to promote the digital courses of the institution in the UK. He stated such groups were “part of the fightback”, noting: “I am serious. I’ll assist garner hundreds of thousands, if not millions of young people to your online courses. I pledge this tonight and I’ll do that.”
The institution, a religious educational establishment, offers free courses. According to its online description: “Comprehensive learning is necessary for personal happiness and to perpetuate the blessings of civil and religious liberty. It offers these excellent programs for no charge to all who wish to learn.”
